The Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity and the Heritage Foundation co-sponsored the Future of Journalism Summit in Providence, Rhode Island on June 8-9, 2012. The weekend included lectures from top journalists and policy experts. In addition, the Breitbart Awards Dinner was held on the night of June 8. The Breitbart Awards were held to honor the late Andrew Breitbart, who was a conservative media activist. This years recipients were Reporter Philip Klein of The Washington Examiner; blogger Duane Lester, of AllAmericanBlogger.com and LibertyNews.com; and citizen film director Andrew Marcus, who produced the much-anticipated movie Hating Breitbart.
